Promoting a culture of responsible drinking gives us PURPOSE BEYOND BREWING.

Anheuser-Busch’s 22nd season of partnership with the NBA will be headlined by the expanded Budweiser “Drink Wiser” campaign that empowers NBA fans 21 and older to enjoy responsibly by hydrating between Buds.

First launched in 2018, this year’s campaign will feature a new “Drink Wiser” short film, starring the duo of Anthony Anderson (Emmy nominated actor and executive producer of ABC’s sitcoms black-ish and mixed-ish, and Freeform’s grown-ish) and Danny Green (two-time NBA champion and guard for the Los Angeles Lakers). The spot encourages sports fans to consume responsibly by showing them that the key to being legendary on and off the court is to “Drink Wiser.”

Our goal is to influence as many sports fans as possible this season to commit to being responsible and to hydrate between Buds, whether watching games at home, at the bar, or in the stadium. The campaign also includes a major consumer sweepstakes.

As the beer industry leader, Anheuser-Busch is committed to going the extra mile to ensure beer drinkers enjoy our products in a responsible way; we want every experience with one of our beers to be a positive one. In partnership with our wholesaler partners, we have collectively invested more than one billion dollars in responsible drinking marketing efforts.

Our first responsible drinking message, “Budweiser Means Moderation,” dates back more than 100 years, and our first major responsible drinking campaign, “Know When to Say When,” launched more than 35 years ago. Since 1989, our Safe Ride program has offered more than 3.7 million safe rides from bars and restaurants.
